David C's comment is totally bogus. It's an anti-abortion position that contraception is equivalent to abortion. 40 years ago the Catholic church was honest and said this openly; now they do lots of pussyfooting about it, but basically say all sex should be for procreation.
And those pharmacists that refuse to provide birth control pills? They say its because the pills are abortificants; unless they have not pharmaceutical training they know it's not true -- the pills suppress ovulation so there's no embryo created.
